Genuine BMW Air Filter R 1200 / R 1250 GS / GSA / R / RS / RT – 13727726799

The Genuine BMW air filter 13727726799 is an OEM BMW Motorrad replacement component designed for intake system maintenance on liquid-cooled boxer engines within the BMW R 1200 LC and R 1250 families.

Its purpose is to filter the air entering the engine, trapping dust, dirt and other airborne particles before they can reach the intake system. Keeping the air filter in good condition helps maintain appropriate airflow while protecting internal engine components from contaminants.

With use and mileage, dirt progressively accumulates in the filter element and increases resistance to airflow. The engine air filter should therefore be inspected and replaced periodically according to the maintenance schedule applicable to the motorcycle.

For motorcycles frequently ridden on trails, off-road terrain, dusty roads or in environments with high levels of airborne particles, more frequent inspection of the air filter may be advisable.

BMW part number 13727726799 is intended for various compatible liquid-cooled boxer applications, including the R 1200 GS, R 1200 GS Adventure, R 1200 R, R 1200 RS, R 1200 RT, R 1250 GS, R 1250 GS Adventure, R 1250 R, R 1250 RS and R 1250 RT.

As a Genuine BMW Motorrad air filter, it is particularly suitable for routine servicing where maintaining the original intake system configuration with an OEM BMW replacement component is preferred.

Air filter replacement can form part of a BMW R 1200 LC or R 1250 scheduled service, together with other maintenance components such as engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs and additional consumables when required.

When replacing the filter, we recommend inspecting and cleaning the airbox, intake ducts and sealing surfaces, taking care to prevent dirt from entering the intake system while the filter element is removed.

Before purchasing, we recommend verifying BMW part number 13727726799 against the motorcycle VIN, as exact compatibility may vary according to model, version and production date.
